Venice City Guide

Venice is a magical city, no matter how many times you visit you always live it a different way, the vibe changes every single time. Its canals are always bustling with life‑ and tourists‑ which is why we prepared a guide so that you know where to go, what to see and how to avoid falling into those awful tourist traps all of Italy is so very full of.

Peggy Guggenheim Collection
If there’s a museum you need to visit when you’re in Venice, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection is one of them. Not only is the collection impressive, but the actual setting is also insanely beautiful and let’s not even mention the view. A true must‑visit.

Gallerie dell’Accademia di Venezia
Also known as the fine arts academy, this institution has a history of itself. Full of masterpieces of Venetian paintings up to the 18th century it holds many famous paintings. But the most famous piece of art it holds is Leonardo Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, however it’s not always exposed but it’s supposed to be good luck to see it!

Fondazione Prada Venezia
Fondazione Prada has earned its name, and with reason. The second location of the Fondazione in Venice holds a variety of different exhibitions, which are all well worth the visit. You can catch “Human Brains: it begins with an idea” until the 27th of November 2022.

Fondazione Pinault
Fondazione Pinault has its home in Venice inside the famous Palazzo Grassi, located on the main canale and holds many surprises‑ apart from the obvious great view. The museum’s collection of modern and contemporary art resonates even better than you’d think. Trust us when we say, you’ll love it.

Gelatoteca Suso
When in Italy are we right? Gelato is one of the most delicious things you can encounter on any trip, particularly when they’re well made. Gelatoteca Suso understands that there is‑ in fact‑ an art behind making gelato and it shows.

Ristorante da Ivo
This small trattoria is famous for their amazing fresh pasta. Homey and traditional, Da Ivo has earned its name among one of the best restaurants in Venice. Trust us when we say, this is a stop you must make when visiting Venice.

Harry’s Bar
If you’re up for good food and drinks, Harry's Bar is the place for you. This is the birthplace of the Bellini, so of course it has to be a mandatory stop whenever you’re in Venice. We recommend taking a table outside and ordering they’re amazing Carpaccio di Manzo and a round of Bellini’s to go with it!

Osteria da Fiore
This old school restaurant transports you into a different era. Fancy but not over the top, they earned their Michelin star by letting the food do the talking. The fish is fresh caught daily mainly from the Adriatic Sea and their dishes are simple yet delicious‑ just as great food should be.

Trattoria alla Madonna
This restaurant has been around Venice since 1954. Famous for their seafood dishes and their iconic location near the Rialto bridge, we promise Trattoria alla Madonna will not disappoint. We recommend you order their famous Granseola.
